Since approximately mid-March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused food insecurity amongst 1 in 7 Canadians, particularly children from low-income and BIPOC communities.

Our mission is to eliminate food insecurity for children and the most vulnerable within the community of Cornwall.

Over 35% of children and 10% of seniors within our community are at risk of malnutrition. While there is no immediate solution to food poverty, Sip & Scoop Foundation, funded by Sip & Scoop Canada, aims to make a definitive impact by hand-delivering to the most vulnerable with freshly prepared & nutritious suppers.

Who Are We?

The Sip & Scoop Foundation is funded by Sip & Scoop Canada. (www.sipandscoop.com) Sip & Scoop is a start-up business founded in 2014, by Jehan Shorish and her family.

Jehan believes that we must cultivate a universal responsibility towards one another, to the best of our abilities, especially now, considering the amount of distress the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused to the low income and most vulnerable population. The Sip & Scoop Foundation aims to diminish food poverty within our community.
